THE CRAB MENTALITY

As we all know, Filipinos have this kind of trait, the Crab Mentality.  Crab mentality, sometimes referred to as crabs in the bucket, describes a way of thinking best described by the phrase "if I can't have it, neither should you." The metaphor refers to a pot of crabs. Individually, the crabs could easily escape from the pot, but instead, they grab at each other in a useless "king of the hill" competition (or sabotage) which prevents any from escaping and ensures their collective demise. The analogy in human behavior is that of a group that will attempt to "pull down" (negate or diminish the importance of) any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of jealousy, conspiracy or competitive feelings.
Today, modern crab mentality involves putting others down in order to make yourself feel better.  It is prevalent in just about every environment, ranging from schools to sports teams and business offices to politics. Somehow, some Filipinos have this kind of trait, that should be change. They said, this is one of the reason why Filipinos are not exceeding. This trait can be avoided if everyone is contented in their simple lives.
The Crab mentality should not be preserved, even though they said that its natural to us as Filipinos.
This trait is one of the reasons why Filipinos are slow in reaching success. Another reason why this   should not be preserved,is because putting others down is bad in the eyes of God. If you want to be  successful you should find way to aim it without stepping on others. There's  a lot of changes we need to
practice so that Filipinos can guarantee success without making others down..
